Job Duties: Partner with subject area specialists across teams and the business to create user experiences that educate, engage and motivate users to complete tasks while building systems that enable Spotifys product and team to scale. Plan, manage, execute, and communicate the design processes and necessary deliverables for projects of all sizes and in all phases of development. Design and test new strategies, frameworks, and prototypes by partnering with user research partners and conducting independent design research to validate your ideas. Build cohesive, cross-platform design patterns that communicate a clear information and data hierarchy and can be reused by other designers across the business. Develop comprehensive design guidelines and specifications for teams across Spotify Advertising. Driving the user experience and design of Spotifys self-serve advertising services and products that deliver on key business objectives. Define and design the systems advertisers use to manage their business on Spotify including creating, managing and measuring their ads. *Telecommuting permitted: Work may be performed within normal commuting distance from the Spotify USA, Inc. office in Chicago, IL.
Position requirements: Masters degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Design, Human-Computer Interaction or a related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role OR Bachelors degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Design, Human-Computer Interaction or a related field and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Must have four (4) years (or 6 with Bachelors) of experience with: Utilizing specialized software design tools including Figma, Illustrators, Principle, ProtoPie, Framer, HTML/CSS; Conducting user research sessions and synthesizing research findings, using methods including user interviews, unmoderated user study, card sorting exercise, RITE usability tests and diary studies; Creating solutions to user problems using methods including personas, journey maps JBTD exercises, and design sprints; Designing with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG); Creating information architecture, wireframes, high-fidelity designs and prototypes; Optimizing experiences with data and user feedback using tools including Tableau and Usertesting.com; Creating detailed development-ready design including high fidelity mockups, UI kits and design systems, and design and interaction specs across different breakpoints; Working cross-functionally with product and engineering professionals in an Agile framework; and Designing dashboards and data visualizations.
Salary: \$155,862 \$233,794 / year
