What You’ll Be Doing
As a Senior Business Systems Analyst , you will be a key member of CIBC’s Strategy, Data, and Analytics team within Private, Personal, and Digital Banking. You will develop reports and dashboards, validate requirements, and implement data-driven solutions that provide meaningful insights for leadership. Your work will drive decision-making by delivering key metrics, such as loan and deposit growth, banker performance, exception reporting, and risk metrics. With a strong focus on automation and efficiency, you will ensure reporting processes are seamless, accurate, and impactful.
How You’ll Succeed
Understand and document business needs: Work closely with business partners to gather complex reporting and data requirements, ensuring solutions align with stakeholder expectations.
Design impactful solutions: Develop data-driven reports and dashboards that provide valuable insights, preparing and validating design documents to ensure accuracy and usability.
Lead and mentor: Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert, guiding banking and support professionals while fostering a collaborative work environment.
Ensure efficiency and automation: Streamline reporting processes, proactively identifying opportunities to enhance automation and improve data distribution.
Provide ongoing support: Offer end-user support, troubleshoot issues, and recommend enhancements to optimize reporting solutions.
Who You Are
Experienced in data analytics: You have 3+ years of experience in data analytics and are an Excel expert. Power BI and Tableau experience is a plus.
Client-focused: You engage with purpose to find the right solutions, always going the extra mile.
Data-driven problem solver: You enjoy investigating complex problems, making sense of data, and communicating insights in a meaningful way.

Educated in analytics: You have a degree/diploma in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, Business, or a related field, along with at least three years of experience in a Business Systems Consultant (BSC) role leading projects and designing solutions.
Agile and adaptable: Experience with Agile methodologies and Application/Architecture Development is a plus.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $75,000 - 95,000 for the Chicago, IL market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
