Pay Range: $55.75 - $93.66 per hour

Summary:

This position is for a full-time Hybrid Cloud Infrastructure Manager with 10+ years of professional experience. The manager will lead a team of cloud, automation, and backup engineers. Partnering closely with senior and operational leaders in the design and development of cloud strategies utilizing various methodologies and tools across the three major public cloud vendors (AWS, Azure and GCP) as well as on-premises and co-location datacenters. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of cloud and infrastructure engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.

  • Adheres to a continuous improvement methodology for systems and services under their span of control.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership on the development and execution of the strategy for Rush’s hybrid cloud environment.

  • Oversee the design and deployment of cloud and on-premises infrastructure, including compute, storage, backups, automation, and observability.

  • Manage cloud cost optimization (FinOps), capacity planning, and performance tuning to ensure efficiency and scalability.

  • Partner closely with Rush’s cybersecurity team to establish and adhere to best practices, compliance, and risk management for cloud and hybrid environments.

  • Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning for critical infrastructure.

  • Drive automation efforts, infrastructure as code (IaC), and DevOps methodologies to enhance efficiency and reliability.

  • Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve operations and scalability.

  • Manage vendor relationships, licensing, and cloud service contracts.

  • Ensure architect proposals adhere to Rush’s standards that foster solid, scalable and flexible solutions to support Rush data center modernization objectives.

  • Partner with vendors to help draft proposals, providing effort estimations, and participating in client presentations.

  • Understand and champion cloud lifecycle management, help evolve the business to expand this footprint.

  • Lead cultural change for cloud adoption.

  • Developing and coordinating cloud architecture for Rush & ventures.

  • Knowledge of Security as it relates to Cloud Environments including the Shared Security Model

  • Understanding of HA architecture (clustering, RAC, ADG, failover etc.), multiple DC architecture, multi-cloud integration

  • Selecting cloud providers and vetting third-party services.

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience required

  • 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure.

  • 3+ years of experience in one or more prominent cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google).

  • Strong knowledge in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid cloud architectures.

  • Experience supporting proposal development, RFP responses, and expansion initiatives.

  • Experience with Agile methodology.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • Experience with MCP, MCSE on Windows 2016, and 2019 is preferred.

  • ITIL Foundation

  • Security, Privacy, and Regulatory/HPIAA Compliance

  • Healthcare Environment Experience
