The candidate must be admitted to the bar in Illinois or preparing to obtain such admission in 2024 through reciprocity with another state and have excellent academic credentials. In addition to overall experience in employment law, it is indispensable that the candidate has substantial private-employer traditional labor experience (i.e., experience dealing with unions, collective bargaining, NLRB matters, labor arbitrations, etc.), as a large portion of the work in this position will be handling traditional labor matters in a variety of contexts.

In addition to litigation, advice, and counseling for clients on traditional labor matters, the Attorney will have meaningful responsibility for employment-related counseling, transactional drafting, and litigation matters (single plaintiff and collective/class actions), including issues involving hiring and separation, wage and hour, EEO, non-compete and trade secrets, employment policies, agreements, and handbook reviews, due diligence for corporate transactions, employee accommodation and leave issues, investigations, and other labor and employment law issues.

The candidate should have strong research and writing and public speaking skills, and experience and responsibility in a broad base of labor and employment issues. The job title is flexible based on experience level.
