TEKsystems Desktop Support Specialist in Chicago, Illinois
Job Description: Our client is looking for a Desktop Support Specialist to join their team!
Position Summary:
Provide excellent customer experience with immediate and precise support on all technical issues related to laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
Support software, hardware, and networking for desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
Install or replace computer hardware and peripherals.
Perform initial troubleshooting on computer-related equipment and arrange for additional support.
Participate in the planning and implementation of computer upgrades, enhancements, and expansions.
Schedule and provide training sessions as needed to meet customer needs.
Maintain inventory of computer-related hardware and software.
Work collaboratively with department technical liaisons to resolve customer issues.
Maintain a high degree of professionalism in actions, demeanor, and dress.
Ensure up-to-date support and troubleshooting information is available for customers to reference.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or applicable work experience
3+ years of IT support experience
Proven track record in an enterprise-level technical support role for at least three years, providing various hardware/software troubleshooting.
Extensive knowledge of Windows 10 and Microsoft Office, including Project and Visio.
Experience with endpoint management software platforms, desktop provisioning technologies like SCCM, PXE, and JAMF.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
