We are in search of a Data Engineer to join our Chicago-based CPA Firm. The primary function of this role will be to manage and process data, using various tools such as Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and PySpark. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity and is 100% remote.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize Azure Data Bricks, Azure data stack tools like Data Factory, Synapse, and other tools such as SQL and PySpark for effective data management.

• Collaborate with the team to execute a large Data Governance/Data project.

• Develop and maintain databases, data systems, and data processing systems.

• Extract, load, and transform data from various sources into the company's database systems.

• Utilize analytical skills to analyze and interpret complex digital data.

• Ensure data systems are compliant with company protocols and privacy policies.

• Collaborate with the team to identify opportunities for process improvements.

• Use problem-solving skills to rectify issues related to data management promptly.

• Use Apache Spark, Database, EO/IR systems, Erwin Data, HDFS, AB Testing, Analytics, AWS Technologies, Business Intelligence (BI), Business Requirement Document, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, and similar tools to enhance efficiency and productivity.

• Continually improve and automate data collection and processing procedures.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Data Engineer role or related field

• Proficiency in Apache Spark, Database, EO/IR systems, Erwin Data, and HDFS

• Experience with AB Testing, Analytics, AWS Technologies, and Business Intelligence (BI)

• Familiarity with Business Requirement Document, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Data Lake

• Ability to analyze and interpret complex data and provide business solutions

• Excellent understanding of data engineering concepts and methodologies

• Strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proven ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with diverse teams

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field is preferred

• Experience in a CPA firm or Business Management industry is a plus. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
