Sodexo Culinary Development Manager in Minneapolis, Minnesota
Unit Description
As Executive Chefs, we have the power to influence lives through the power of food.
The Culinary Development Manager / Executive Chef will provide expertise in all things culinary i.e. – mentoring of Chefs, menu development, culinary development of the food programs, food safety, and food management systems This position provides culinary support in the Midwest.
This position will travel up to 75%, and the ideal candidate should live in one of the following states: Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois.
The Culinary Development Manager / Executive Chef must travel to Sodexo’s Corporate Services accounts. This position will strengthen the culinary presence by implementing culinary systems, menu innovation, inventory management, ordering, and ensuring kitchen safety and sanitation compliance.
The ideal candidate will be a culinary artist with a passion for food service excellence, following culinary trends with the ability to translate ideas into unique menu and recipe programs using sustainable food sources.

Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to maintain the highest level of culinary standards.
Strong coaching and employee development skills
Experience managing multiple projects, with the strong ability to foster relationships and direct teams to support our vision and additional market growth
Deep knowledge of local and regional products and cuisine styles.
Ability to translate innovative ideas into unique menu items and recipes.
Strong leader with the ability to effectively manage, lead, and communicate with the team and key stakeholders
Has a keen eye for detail and ability to coach culinary teams with a detailed approach.
Demonstrates proven results with food costs, labor costs, controllable expenses, targets, and goal setting

Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 5 years
Basic Functional Experience - 3 years of experience in operations
