Description We are in search of an Attorney/Lawyer to join our team in the bustling city of Chicago, Illinois. As part of our team, you will handle a variety of responsibilities related to litigation, including dealing with issues such as identity theft, defamation, and internet-related cases. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct in-depth research on various legal matters pertaining to our clients' cases

• Handle discovery requests efficiently and in a timely manner

• Respond to client complaints, providing solutions where necessary

• Utilize LexisNexis for case research and legal references

• Employ the Amicus Attorney software for case management and tracking

• Draft motions and other legal documents for court proceedings

• Manage and update client records in an accurate manner

• Monitor client accounts and take appropriate action when necessary

• Maintain a strict adherence to billable time tracking

• Communicate effectively with clients and team members, ensuring all are kept updated on case progress. Requirements • Must hold a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

• Must be licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction

• Proficiency in document management is required

• Experience in briefing, civil litigation, and complaint handling is necessary

• Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Must show a high level of professionalism and ethical standards

• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills

• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Proficiency in legal research tools and software is required.
