Starting Salary: $80,628.00 Annually

ESSENTIAL DUTIES :
Works with management personnel representing airport tenants including airlines and other airport tenants to resolve complaints or problems relating to the general maintenance, safety and cleanliness and related property management issues in airport terminals and facilities.
Coordinate and oversee the work of the skilled trades and general labor personnel.
Supervise division staff in compliance with all human resources policies and collective bargaining agreements.
Manage service agreement contracts for the maintenance and operation of the terminal building and the surrounding supporting facilities.
Assess and monitor facility maintenance repairs to ensure cost effectiveness, establish criteria for repair and/or replacement of infrastructure.
Develop, plan, implement and administer division goals and budgets.
Inspects terminal areas, ramps, roads, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, drains, roofs to identify and prioritize needed maintenance repairs.
Interact with food, beverage, and retail concessions by inspecting and monitoring the tenants for code compliance and issuing administrative notices of violations.
Monitor work in progress to ensure projects remain on schedule and that repair and maintenance work is completed according to established standards.
Ensure that airports comply with departmental and contractual regulations regarding the use and maintenance of terminal facilities.
Maintain operating records on repairs and maintenance work completed for terminals and prepares related reports.
Conduct site visits and inspections of restaurants, terminal concession facilities, and other areas of the terminal to ensure cleanliness and past abatement programs are in place.
Act as liaison with local, state, and federal agencies (TSA Homeland Security, FAA, U.S. Customs).
Respond to and satisfy passengers/visitors requirements through excellent customer service providing help and advice to airport users.
Assist in the preparation of the annual operating budget.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Property Management, Facilities Management, Construction Management or in a directly related field, plus five years of multipurpose facilities management experience, including two years of supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Licensure, Certification, or Other Qualifications :
· A valid State of Illinois driver's license is required.
· Candidates selected for hire must pass a Ground Motor Vehicle Operating Regulation Basic Driving test (Yellow Stripe) administered by the Chicago Department of Aviation within 90 days of hire.
· The candidate(s) selected for hire must pass an airport background check and a Security Threat Assessment (STA).
WORKING CONDITIONS :
Exposure to inclement weather – Available on 24-hour emergency call.
Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
Must be able to drive and walk for extended periods of time including up and down stairs, and the interior and exterior of airport facilities.
Must be able to work in a public setting without supervision and make decisions in accordance with CDA policies and procedures.
Must be willing and able to work various shifts including 6 am – 2 pm, 2 – 10 pm and 10 pm – 6 am shifts and includes working weekends and holidays.
SELECTION REQUIREMENTS: This position requires an applicant to successfully complete an interview, which will include a writing exercise. The interviewed candidate(s) possessing the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position, based on the interview and writing exercise, will be selected.
