Aerotek Crane Operator in Chicago Heights, Illinois

Job Title: Crane Operator

Job Description

We're seeking a skilled Crane Operator to control a 7.5 ton overhead crane in a dynamic production environment. Your primary duties will include transporting materials, loading and unloading machines, and ensuring products and bundles are properly secured. Your role will be pivotal in aiding the production of steel bar and tubing. This position requires you to work the 2nd shift, with training provided during the 1st shift. The schedule (8, 9, or 10 hours) is released every Thursday. Overtime may be required on some Saturdays. The starting pay rate is $17/hr, which will increase to $17.85/hr once you move to the 2nd shift.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Chicago Heights, Illinois.

Work Environment

Our facility is not a steel distributor. Instead, we process customer-owned bar stock to precise specifications. Our advanced operations can be used to non-destructively test surface quality, provide carbon restoration, and meet close length and dimensional specifications. Please note, the work environment can be loud and dark.
