Air National Guard Units Production Controller (Aircraft) in Cheyenne, Wyoming

Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a Production Controller (Aircraft), Position Description Number PDD0752000 and is part of the WY 153rd Maintenance Operations Flight, Wyoming Air National Guard. Responsibilities The purpose of the position is to perform preliminary (advance) planning and long term scheduling for the utilization and maintenance of all assigned aerospace vehicles, propulsion units/associated equipment and related support training equipment, and to perform duties related to the documentation function. (1) Coordinates and develops operational and maintenance requirements for all assigned aerospace vehicles and related support and training equipment into long range, quarterly, monthly and weekly plans to produce a schedule which makes efficient use of resources. (2) Schedules and conducts daily maintenance planning meeting to refine and incorporate unscheduled maintenance requirements into the Weekly to Daily Maintenance Plans and workload requirement. (3) Preplans requirements to support operational launch schedules, emergency war orders (EWO) and contingency plans. (4) Represents the Chief of Maintenance in coordinating actions such as aircraft and equipment utilization, sortie rates, flying hours and simulator utilization with the Air Commander, Operations and other members of the flight scheduling committee. (5) Develops inspection work package for aircraft; schedules and conducts the preinspection meeting for scheduled inspections such as periodic, isochronal and phase. * This is NOT an all-inclusive list of duties. * Requirements Conditions of Employment KEY REQUIREMENTS: Primary consideration will be given to current WY ANG military members. If required, additional areas of consideration certificates may be released to hiring managers. Open to Air Force, AF Reserves, and Air Nat'l Guard military members only. Must become a member of the Wyoming Air Nat'l Guard before appt. Must submit vMPF Rip/Data Verification Rip with application. Must possess at least the minimum ASVAB score listed for Qualification. May be required to successfully complete a 1-year trial/probationary period. Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation. EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS: Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT). Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses. Acceptance of a Technician position will terminate these military incentives. Acceptance of a permanent or indefinite position will cause termination from the Selected Reserve Incentive Program (SRIP) and TRICARE Reserve Select (TRS). Military Technicians in the excepted service will wear the appropriate uniform while performing as a Technician. Qualifications AREAS OF CONSIDERATION: Primary consideration will be made from Areas 1, 2, and 4. If referrals are not made from the target category, subsequent referrals may next be made from Area 6 (if eligible). Area 1: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) WY ANG employees assigned to the 153d Maintenance Group. Area 2: All permanent and indefinite Wyoming Air National Guard (ANG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming Air National Guard. Area 4: All current military members of the Wyoming Air National Guard. Area 6: Current and prior service military members to include the US Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and other states' Air National Guard units. Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Air National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must possess experience, education or training which indicates the candidate can reason in quantitative terms, communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, understanding the terminology and data pertaining to repair operations and process characteristics of the production activity. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must possess experience, education or training scheduling workflow in more than one area and responsible for coordinating products or materials from support activities. Experience in performing or supervising journeyman level work in a production facility. Experience preparing job or work orders; scheduling various phases of projects into the production facility; following up to see if work is progressing as planned and arranging for adjustments in materials, machine processes, and work sequencing allowing for changes. Experience with current automation support programs to input data, provide status of equipment, and monitor job order status, monitor work priorities, requisition repair parts, track repair parts status, etc. NOTE: Minimum Requirements and Specialized Experience will be used to determine qualifications for the announced position. COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENTS: Enlisted: Must possess or be eligible to retrain into AFSC 2R2X1, Maintenance Management Production. Enlisted 2R2X1 ASVAB Requirements: Must possess a minimum score of "55" on the General portion of the ASVAB. Medical Profile PULHES must not be greater than 333233. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. unassisted. DRIVER'S LICENSE: Must possess a valid driver's license.
