Job Description

Research Associate

Competitive salary commensurate with relevant experience.

One-year position as Research Associate with renewal possible depending on project needs. In addition to managing a variety of administrative and project management work serving the entire organization, the Research Associate will interface with each project team within City Connects and CTC as well as external partners such as school districts, Boston College collaborators, community partners.

The position involves several areas of responsibility in supporting the City Connects research-practice partnership.

Information support including gathering, synthesizing, drafting, and presenting information related to City Connects and its partnerships; managing electronic files; producing paper reports and communications

Operational support including supporting meetings through scheduling, space, materials, and logistical planning; event planning and execution; supporting administrative record-keeping

External relations support including serving as a primary contact for City Connects and CTC, and serving as a liaison to external partners including advisors, vendors, BC offices, and others

In addition, the Research Associate will contribute to specific projects related to the City Connects research-practice partnership.

Requirements

Requirements

●Bachelor’s degree in human development, education, business administration, or related field

●Experience working in a research setting, e.g., university lab etc.

●Experience in project administration and/or project and events management, preferably in a University or research setting

●Ability to deal with multiple constituencies with tact and diplomacy

●Ability to take initiative and prioritize work

●Strategic thinker with exceptional attention to detail

●Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines

●High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Google suite

●High level of professionalism and discretion
