Position: Team Lead, Fulfillment

Hourly Rate: $19.00

Position Overview:The Fulfillment Team Leadwill manage and direct vault activities and staff within our multi-functional Mill manufacturing division. This position is responsible for creating alloy melts by following formulas and ensuring new alloy melts meet the company standards for precious metals with the assay. This position is also responsible for the organization and efficiency of the vault including purchasing and maintaining logs of precious metals on a daily basis and planning future alloy melts to meet business needs.

Responsibilities (100%):

  • Supervise vault activity and 4 personnel. Must be hands on group leader and willing to learn all facets of the departments and processes and be willing to move coworkers around or fill in when staff is on PTO.
  • Pick and pull stock items of small coils and lengths of wire, flat and coiled sheet, casting grain, and tubing from our inventoried product line to fill orders.
  • Stage and organize orders efficiently from both inventoried stock and made to order product.
  • Prepare documents such as work orders, invoices, bills of lading, or shipping orders to route materials to the correct internal and external customers.
  • Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter
  • Examine incoming materials, either made in-house or from vendors, to verify accuracy by comparing to orders, invoices, and manifests.
  • Work with our manufacturing team by sending out and receiving incoming jobs from the production departments.
  • Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies for accounting and recordkeeping purposes
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities as part of the site LEAN team.
  • Work with the order fulfillment team to make sure that all standard items are kept in stock. Work directly with Senior Management on production goals and activities ie: scheduling, delivery, and quality. Coordinate new services, promotions with marketing and sales, including establishing goals, training coworkers and evaluating results.

Qualifications:

  • Requires Minimum of Associate's Degree from an accredited university (if you do not have an Associate's Degree you will be required to take classes at Brightpoint or similar college upon an offer being made)
  • Minimum of 2 years of order fulfillment or production experience in a manufacturing or plant environment with a proven track record of measurable results
  • Prepare melts up to company standards
  • Work with vendors to purchase raw materials and finished products
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and decision-making skills
  • Eagerness to supervise and manage projects for vault activities and team members
  • Strong communication and decision-making skills
  • Must be proficient using Microsoft Office and other computer systems
  • Ability to write analytical reports and Standard Operating Procedures on proc sses
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and adapt to change

Essential Physical/Environmental Requirements:

  • May be required to perform specific tasks that involve standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, squatting or kneeling
  • Must be able to lift with or without mechanical aids on a recurring basis (up to 45 lbs.)
  • Work is performed within a production environment, subject to temperature variations, chemicals, mechanical parts, increased noise levels and dust.
