Emerson Senior CAD Automation Engineer in CHENNAI, India

Job Summary

If you are a CAD Developer, Emerson has an exciting role for you! We are looking for a CAD customization Engineer to work with our Pervasive Sensing Team. This role will work independently and as a part of a team to perform CAD Automation to add our product drawings to our in-house application. You will also be responsible for working with Design Engineers and Test Engineer to address and solve queries for the Product drawing automation.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Understand the construction of each product and create the assembly workflow.

  • Work with internal stake holders to understand the products.

  • Automate the Product drawings with respect to the assembly workflow for the preparation of General Arrangement Drawing.

  • Write code for product drawing automation.

  • Test the product within our applications in cooperation with other team members.

  • Troubleshoot the issues during deployment of each product drawing.

  • Contribute to the overall quality of the organization in the testing of all products.

  • Collaborate with other teams during deployment of product drawings to Production.

  • Develop the document for assembly workflow.

  • Coordinating with team members and cross-functional teams

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in SolidWorks CAD.

  • Experience with VB.Net and SQL

  • Knowledge in SolidWorks Macros

  • Experience with PLM Software preferably SolidWorks EPDM.

  • Experience in SolidWorks CAD API programming.

  • Knowledge in PDM Architecture.

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

  • Degree in Mechanical/Automobile/Aeronautical/Production Engineering

  • Basic understanding of Engineering Standards

  • Experience with creating Models and assemblies.

  • Good knowledge of OOPS concepts and best practices.

  • Good Knowledge in MS Office

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
