What the day will look like

Reporting into and supporting our Leisure Client Manager, your role will consist of insurance policy renewals, account management and new business.

Your focus will be to service and grow the existing portfolio through retention and new business by providing insurance solutions, submitting and brokering business, presenting and closing opportunities.

You will be part of a team which is responsible for servicing our existing Tourism, Leisure and Outdoors portfolio for Affinity Insurance Brokers.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a client portfolio, handling all ongoing client’s insurance/risk needs

  • Ensuring all client needs are identified and met by taking a pro-active approach to all aspects of service delivery, account management and account retention

  • Policy renewals

  • Providing consistent client updates within agreed service timeframes

  • Reactive and proactive communication with potential clients via phone and email

  • In a consultative client approach, providing relevant product solutions to clients within your authority

  • Assist with complex client queries

  • Negotiating with Insurers and clients on risks outside of underwriting guidelines

  • Understanding client financials and providing appropriate support regarding debt management, payment enquiries and settlements

  • Understanding, and complying with, regulated processes and systems

  • Complete daily client administration tasks and updates for our online filing system according to Aon service standards

  • Maintain high service standard

  • Work to achieve individual and team financial targets

Skills and experience that will lead to success

Our ideal candidate will relate to the following:

  • Insurance, sales, client servicing experience (preferred)

  • Leisure, Tourism, Property Insurance experience (highly regarded)

  • Tier 1 Insurance Broking qualifications and/or willingness to obtain

  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to build strong relationships

  • Ability to solve problems creatively and show initiative

  • Comfortable working towards KPIs and targets

  • Strong experiences using software programs, such as MS (Outlook), Winbeat, OfficeTech and any CRM
