Kayem Foods, Inc. Production Worker - CT Kitchen - 1st shift in Chelsea, Massachusetts

SUMMARY: Responsible for being part of the CT Kitchen team in a variety of functions aim to produce quality product in an efficient and safe way.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up Pipes, Transfer Hopper, PD Pump, and other needed equipment

  • Set up Hitecs

  • Set up Cozzini Mill

  • Tie, cut link ends, and hang hotdogs properly Visually inspects the product for any non-conforming areas, in addition, sets aside any non-conforming product

  • Assisting new employees and trainees in learning proper

  • methods and procedures in the area

  • Knowledge of counts and sizes

  • Maintain clean, sanitary, and safe work practices, tools and area

  • Check daily accuracy of scales used

  • Maintain Knowledge of USDA and HACCP requirements

  • Be able to learn every job in the departmenT

  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able assimilate to the team and perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The individual must be willing and able to learn every job in the department successfully. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions in English are necessary, as well, as having basic Mathematical Skills. The employee will regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift or up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Literacy Level 2
