Lockheed Martin Test Technician Senior Specialist in Chelmsford, Massachusetts

Description: Lockheed Martin's Chelmsford Operations facility is a hub for innovation in microelectronics, supporting critical aerospace and defense programs. Located in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, our team is dedicated to producing advanced technology solutions that safeguard national security and advance the industry.

We are seeking a skilled Test Technician Senior Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will perform testing, tuning, and troubleshooting of highly complex military RF microwave hybrid assemblies. Duties also include testing units over temperature, during vibration and mechanical shock, as well as putting units into burn-in ovens. Testing is performed using state-of-the-art specialized, manual, and automated test equipment to specifications outlined in work instructions and acceptance test procedures. Use of the computer is required to retrieve test procedures, assembly drawings, and schematics as well as to input test yield data. The role will also require training new team members in the area.

You will perform a variety of electronic and electro-mechanical assembly tasks in support of specific production units. You'll use standard electronic assembly tools and materials. May perform modifications, rework, and quality testing. You will collaborate with RF, Manufacturing, and Quality Engineering to develop procedures and troubleshoot product to specifications.

Basic Qualifications:

• Previous experience in the testing, tuning, and troubleshooting of a variety of complex RF Microwave Hybrid assemblies

• Ability to work under a microscope as required to test, tune, and troubleshoot RF microwave hybrid assemblies

• Ability to utilize hand tools such as torque drivers, tweezers and other similar instruments

• Good dexterity, eye/hand coordination

• Ability to utilize a variety of test equipment to perform both automated and manual testing of complex RF assemblies

• Detailed understanding of basic RF principles (i.e. phase noise, return loss, gain)

• Ability to read and work from detailed process sheets and drawings

• Computer skills are required to support retrieval of drawings and work instructions as well as other job activities

• Experience operating computer-driven mechanical vibration equipment

• Experience with data analysis of RF Microwave test data

• Experience in writing test procedures and troubleshooting from schematics

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship. Position requires Final Secret Clearance prior to start.

Desired Skills:

• Ability to work in a diverse team environment; Good interpersonal, teaming and communication skills

• Familiarity working in an ESD and FOD-controlled environment

• Experience in mechanical assembly processes of small electronic devices

• Experience working on military products in ISO 9001 / AS9100 controlled environment

• Experience working with classified computing systems

• Experience soldering or epoxying components in accordance with J-STD-001 to support the tuning process

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
