Electrical Designer

Job Description

The Electrical Designer is primarily responsible for creating electrical drawings and associated documents to support the Electrical Engineering Department. This role involves working closely with various departments to determine customer requirements for electrical and control components.

Key responsibilities include: preparing detailed 3-phase, single-phase, and low-voltage DC electrical drawings, creating electrical bills of material, processing sales orders and work orders, and coordinating with Procurement to address long lead time items. Additionally, the Electrical Designer assists in power requirement determinations, troubleshooting electrical systems, aiding in installations and permitting, and engaging in Continuous Improvement projects.

Must Have Skills

  • SolidWorks Electrical

  • National Electric Code

Soft Skills

  • Collaborative electrical print checking

  • Timely and accurate correction/resolution of drawing errors

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Work Environment

Office environment, will spend 90% of their time in SolidWorks Electrical
