**[Job Summary [We are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team in building high-tech telecommunications equipment. This position requires a person with a demonstrated proficiency inspectingelectronic systems, assemblies, subassemblies, components, mechanical assemblies, and other parts for conformance tospecifications.

  • Inspect incoming componentsat Receiving Inspection such as PCBs, Sheet Metal, Plastic Overlays
  • Examines alignment of parts and measures parts for conformance to specified dimensions.
  • Inspect assemblies In-Process. Check against the print, work order and other documentation.
  • Traces cables and harness assemblies, following cable wiring diagram, to verify routing of wires to specified connections and conformance of cable lacing and insulation to manufacturing standards.
  • Examines parts for surface defects such as chips, scratches, and pinholes.
  • Examines production documents to ensure that all assembly, inspecting, and testing steps were performed according to specifications.
  • Assist in packaging product as required.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

J-STD-001 Certified a plus

IPC-A-610 Class 2 Certified a plus

Read blueprints and examines layout and installation of wiring, cables, sub-assemblies, hardware, and components to detect assembly errors.

Experience with MRP systems (QAD a plus), Bills of Materials, and Routings.

Competency with MS Office Software (excel, word, and outlook)

The ability to interpret engineering changes, drawings, and specifications.

Familiar with quality management systems and calibration
