Financial Assistant Project Manager

Job Description Summary

This Role will work alongside Project Managers and the Project Management Lead to coordinate and execute documentation for projects. They will be responsible for all aspects of documentation related to projects for the project teams to ensure that projects are executed in alignment with goals and deliverables defined by the client and adhering to established KPI's, delivery of workplace support services to ensure an exceptional workplace experience for all employees, residents, and guests. This role will ensure that all services and activities are delivered with the highest level of detail and to the highest standards.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities

Project and procedural assistance to Construction Project Managers.

Assist with the overall completion and financial outcome of construction projects.

Preparation and maintenance of reports, calendars, files, and spreadsheets.

Review funding requirements and submissions against Plan of Record.

Monitor and administer projects dollars to ensure spending is within the established budget.

Work with Project Managers on budgets/funding/best views/cash flow projections.

Work with Project Managers to ensure all quotes, proposals and associated forms are available for purchase requisition requests.

Monitor projects for required funds to enable change requests to projects and year end reconciliation.

Work closely with Verizon Real Estate Capital Management team and APO team to resolve issues.

Maintain database and reports for assigned Market to support project management and budget review.

Key vendor relationship liaison.

Attendance at all relevant client, vendor, and team meetings.

Ability to work with co-workers in a cooperative manner while remaining flexible, resourceful, proactive, and efficient with a high level of professionalism, and confidentiality.

Ability to work independently with little to no supervision and has experience supporting a team in daily administrative construction tasks.

Must possess excellent organizational abilities, meticulous attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication skills and demonstrate success in building interpersonal relationships.

Background in Purchasing / POs (purchase orders) / Invoicing /Reconciliation.

Knowledge of all required systems to ensure data integrity for accuracy (1ERP, Ariba, Tririga).

Relevant knowledge of the use of and reporting capabilities in Microsoft suite applications, including Excel, PowerPoint.

Other duties as assigned.

Comply with Cushman & Wakefield Environmental policies and adhere to procedures and work instructions relevant to work activities,

Operate in a manner that will minimize any adverse environmental impacts associated with related work activities.

Actively participate within a community of practice groups within Global Occupier Services by sharing information and strategies that result in the best outcomes for the client and Cushman & Wakefield.

Understand the Cushman & Wakefield brand and expertise in services delivered to ensure all opportunities to provide a full-service offer to clients are available.

Regularly engage with the Cushman & Wakefield CRE (Commercial Real Estate) team to leverage shared knowledge and resources.

Related requirements

Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain knowledge and abilities would be:

Education

A high school diploma is required.

A Bachelor's degree with a major in architecture, engineering, construction management or other related technical area is preferred.

Years of Relevant Experience Preferred

At least 2 years relatable Project Management (PM) work experience, including at least 2 years' experience managing high performance teams.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Understanding of the construction industry.

Familiarity with complex contract structures - experience with AIA forms or contracts for design professionals and contractors' terminology, codes, documentation, and design disciplines. * Proficiency with project management tools and accounting systems preferred (for example Tririga, 1ERP).

Strong knowledge of Google Suite and Smartsheets preferred.

Strong organization with proven leadership and interpersonal skills.

Ability to perform duties under deadline pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Detail oriented and thorough.

Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service

Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills

Experience working with Landlords, real estate developers and institutional owners

Ability to assist in management of medium and large ground-up development projects, major re-development projects, & corporate interiors projects

Experience in hotel projects, healthcare projects and commercial office design & construction preferred

Demonstrated a high level of performance in project budgeting, contract negotiations and scheduling

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, professional manner, and computer literacy

Ability to work as a team.

Ability to handle multiple projects

Environment: Role is remote / work from home with typical business working hours expected supporting an East Coast / EST client account. Typical equipment supplied for the role includes a company laptop computer, monitor and mobile phone. The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate's experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $33.33 - $33.33
