The Manager Manufacturing Science for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible supporting manufacturing operations with scientific expertise, to ensure quality and on-time customer delivery of Beckman Coulter Immunoassay and Chemistry products.
This position is part of Reagent Operations located in Chaska, MN and will be an on-site role. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.
You will be a part of the Reagent Technical Operations team and report to the Senior Manager Manufacturing Science responsible for supporting the reagent manufacturing operation. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Provide Leadership and Technical Expertise to assist team members in failure investigations and determination of root cause, of immunoassay product performance and manufacturability issues.
Provide Leadership and Technical Expertise to assist team members in implementing improvements aimed at capability, quality and cost.
Provide Leadership and Technical Expertise to assist team members in the Design Change Process such as qualification of new material or implementation of new manufacturing processes.
Provide Leadership and Technical Expertise to assist team members in the creation and execution of validations.
Provide Leadership and Technical Expertise to assist team members in test method design and transfer.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Degree in Biology of Chemical Science (B.S. with 9+ yrs exp, M.S. or Ph.D. with 7+ yrs exp.)
Must have a strong manufacturing science background in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or immunology
Quality system and validation experience
Must have project management experience.
1+ yrs of demonstrated leadership skills.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
People leadership
Six Sigma/VRK
Experience in commercial immunoassay development and/or support.
The salary range for this role is 127K-145K. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
