Insight Global Clinical Revenue Cycle Administrator in Charlottesville, Virginia

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Clinical Revenue Cycle Administrator for a large academic medical center in Virginia. Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Cycle Officer, this Administrator is responsible for the overall strategy of clinical revenue cycle which includes CDI, Hospital and Professional Coding, and Utilization Management departments. Responsibilities include:

Utilizing internal resources and analytical skills to make decisions in a fast-paced and fluid environment.

Accountability for making strategic decisions guided by organizational challenges, trends, and business implications, while recognizing that decisions may have regional/local implications.

Working closely with clinical departments, finance, and IT to streamline operations and improve financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Revenue Cycle Management: Oversee all aspects of the revenue cycle, including patient registration, insurance verification, charge capture, coding, billing, and collections.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.

Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in revenue cycle operations.

Data Analysis: Analyze revenue cycle data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement. Provide regular reports to senior management.

Collaboration: Work closely with clinical departments, finance, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of revenue cycle processes.

Training and Development: Provide training and support to staff on revenue cycle processes, policies, and best practices.

Technology Utilization: Leverage technology and software solutions to optimize revenue cycle operations and improve patient experience.

Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies in the revenue cycle process promptly and effectively.

Skills and Requirements

Education: Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in revenue cycle management, preferably in an academic medical center or large healthcare organization. Must have experience with Director-level direct reports, or higher, and leading Revenue Cycle Departments. Expert in Revenue Cycle (with deep experience in Mid-revenue cycle).

  * An extensive knowledge of professional services revenue cycle operations best practices and well versed in regulatory requirements.

  * Experience in a vital leadership position in a large academic medicine multi-specialty group practice, a large complex medical group, or other various clinical revenue cycle settings is required.

  * Experience and knowledge of clinical operations is essential to understand how to best manage revenue cycle processes often initiated by clinical operations across the organization. Preferred/Plusses:

RHIT, RHIA or other related certifications preferred. null
