Description We are currently searching for a meticulous Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Charlottesville, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the accounting department, including financial reporting, budgeting, auditing, tax compliance, and internal controls. This role is ideally suited for someone with a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards, as well as a strong ability to collaborate across departments to ensure prompt and accurate information.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and approve detailed journal entries and account analyses in various accounting software systems

• Maintain the general ledger system and research accounting issues for compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Complete bank reconciliations and handle accounts payable and receivable duties, including bulk check uploads and invoice preparation

• Conduct accounts receivable aging analysis and serve as the account manager for various financial software solutions

• Assist with the annual budget process, as well as continuous budget review

• Prepare weekly enrollment reports for company distribution

• Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

• Create quarterly board reports and monthly lender reports

• Maintain business licenses and generate necessary financial documents

• Train and supervise Accounting Associates, including daily oversight, task assignment, serving as an escalation point, and championing employee development.

Skills:

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services and Great Plains (GPAC)

• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP) & Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in auditing and billing functions

• Familiarity with ERP Solutions. Requirements • Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or Supervisor

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services

• Experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC) software

• Understanding of fundamental Accounting Functions

• Ability to manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Auditing procedures

• Proficiency in Billing Functions

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
