Actalent Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Field Engineer to support a pet food client on a greenfield project in Hartwell, GA. This Mechanical Field Engineer must have expertise in the engineering and construction of mechanical systems, equipment, and components relevant to the manufacturing of food & beverage facilities.

The project is projected to last 1+ year at this particular site in Hartwell, GA. Candidate will be on-site full time 5 days/week: Monday- Friday or Tuesday- Saturday.

Requirements

• 5 years experience working as a Mechanical Engineer in a field or construction environment

• Expertise in mechanical systems, equipment, and components relevant to the industry

• Previous experience with on-site operations, safety protocols, and coordination with contractors and stakeholders

• Excellent problem solving skills to identify and resolve mechanical issues that may arise during construction

• Ability to make informed decisions and find particular solutions to ensure project success

• Strong verbal and written communication to effectively communicative with contractors, project teams, and stakeholders

• Collaborative outlook and attitude to effectively work with cross-functional teams

• Ability to review mechanical designs, specifications, and documentation for accuracy and compliance to identify discrepancies and taking appropriate actions for resolution

• Minimum of 10 hours OSHA training- 30 hours preferred
