Job Title: Warehouse Worker

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our team. Our facility distributes industry-leading fireplaces, stoves, and hearth products. These products include tiles, marble, granite, stones, and other supplies needed for both indoor and outdoor fireplaces.

Responsibilities

• Pick and pull parts utilizing RF scanners that resemble smart phones.

• Operate sit-down forklifts, sit-down reach trucks, or cherry pickers to move materials or grab products.

• Utilize a forklift 80%-90% of the time to load slats of products such as granite, marble, and stones into a boxed looking cage on the forklift.

• Drive crates of materials to the automated shrink wrap stations and manually wrap pallets with tape to stabilize products.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of one year of recent experience in a distribution or warehouse environment (within the last 18 months).

• Ability to stand on feet for at least ten hours per day.

• Capability to lift 70 lbs on a consistent basis.

• Previous forklift experience.

• Proficiency with RF scanners or devices similar to iPhones.

• Willingness to work overtime as needed during the week.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Ability to obtain certifications to grow within the company's tiered system.

• Strong candidates can maintain speed and quality of work despite temperature fluctuations.

Work Environment

Our standard hours are 7am-4pm with the possibility of overtime during the week. Employees are off on weekends and work an average of 42-45 hours a week. Proper PPE, including steel-toed shoes, safety vests, and safety eyewear, is required from the first day. The dress code includes jeans, t-shirts, and steel-toe footwear. The facility has bay doors that open to circulate air, meaning the environment can be warm in the summer and cool in the winter. Team leads who speak Spanish are available to help train bilingual personnel. Personnel are expected to maintain the quality of products they receive and ship, and keep their workstations and department clean and neat.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, North Carolina.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
