* This position is on 2nd shift - schedule 2:15pm-10:15pm - Must be able to work overtime (max 2 hours daily) & work weekends / holidays if needed *
Summary
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for reporting metrics, updating daily receiving log, verifying and/or auditing receipts, and ensuring all shipments are put away via WM. Additionally responsible for direction of team members regarding dock management and tasks as well as preparing paperwork for receivers and any receiving/stocking related functions with direction Inventory Technician. The Warehouse Lead is accountable for carrier scheduling and researching Advance Shipment Notices (ASNs) and resolving receiving discrepancies.
Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate records of all receipts (processed and unprocessed) and their associated locations
Submit reports in a timely manner
Research receiving/ stocking errors for trends and correct action. Run reports for empty locations, space utilization and problem locations to correct
Coordinate with freight forwarders, deployment group, supplies and carriers to prioritize workload regarding trailers to receive and shipments to stock
Communication with yard jockey for trailer/container placement to receiving doors and removal of empty trailers/containers to yard
Responsible for accurate receiving cases and stocking product to correct locations via WM system
Provide direction to team members during absence of Inventory Technician
Ensure all team members are following receiving and put away SOPs
Motivate and keep team members focused, as well as monitor team members timely return to and from breaks and lunch
Verify the case quantity physically received to the carrier’s delivery receipt
Accurately document and keep records of all applicable discrepancies on carriers’ delivery receipts, follow up on resolution process to resolve receiving discrepancies
Document whether truckload (T/L) or container seats are received intact or not, always verify seal number to the bill-of-lading
Utilize receiving manifests to accurately document SKUs and their associated quantities by ASN
Document all inbound receipts, research ASN and receiving discrepancies, and oversee carrier scheduling
Any other duties may be assigned
Qualifications:
High School diploma / GED is preferred
Must be BIC forklift certified
Minimum of 1 year of related experience in a warehouse environment
Certified in in Hazardous Material handling
Working knowledge to work accurately through WMS and Microsoft Office systems
Maintain business confidentiality
Must have good communication skills – both verbal and written
Available to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
Must display a strong work ethic and sense of urgency
Ability to work in a team-based, feedback friendly, environment
Display high attention to detail and a process-driven mindset
Must be knowledgeable and abide by all company safety policies and procedures
Previous work experience in a production, warehouse, or manufacturing environment
Ability to be on your feet for 8+ hours a day
Must be able to work in a production environment that involves lifting boxes and produce up to 40 pounds.
Ability to identify, locate and distribute product which requires reading, counting, simple math calculations, and printing product name and code on applicable documents
Use all warehouse equipment and tools properly to increase productivity, efficiency, and safety, report any unsafe conditions to supervisor
Ability to learn technical material, including SOPs to accomplish necessary objectives
Ability to work with little to no supervision; must be a self-started
Ability to give direction and follow up to ensure assignments are completed
Assist with training of new team members
