Adecco is assisting a local manufacturer in recruiting for a Payroll Specialist opening in Charleston, WV. This is for a contract-to-hire opportunity. As a Payroll Specialist, you will perform a variety of duties according to established policies and procedures. Duties will include processing bi-weekly payroll, auditing time and labor data, processing payroll taxes, pay deductions and garnishments, tax payments, verifying employment and other duties as assigned.

Ideal candidate will be professional, dependable, and detail oriented. Must be a team player, show initiative, possess strong communication skills, and be able to interact professionally with all internal and external clients and co-workers.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required (at least one year of experience). Prior experience working on payroll, as well as with an HRIS system is required. A college degree is required, but will accept additional experience in lieu of degree. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are required.

Pay for this position starts between $23 - 25 /hour (DOE) and the position works Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5pm.

Pay Details: $23.00 to $27.00 per hour
