This position is part of Workforce Development and will have the main responsibility of supporting both Eastlake Plant and Harrison Power Station to ensure all regulatory training is completed. Will also work with other Workforce Development team members to support training for entire Generation fleet.

Generation Specialist responsibilities include: Assisting in the administration of the training section by: Maintaining training materials, maintaining training attendance records, and maintaining knowledge of the training and tracking system to assist with student record maintenance. Delivering developed training courses along with determining and assisting with developing instructional materials for training courses. Performing administrative responsibilities such as: sending student notifications, maintain training completion reports, conduct student assessments, course and instructor evaluations and other administrative duties. Communicating training and classroom activities and outcomes of meetings attended. Completing projects by scheduled deadlines, communicating anticipated problems and possible alternatives. Updating existing lesson plans and curriculum to meet the training needs of end users.

Advanced Generation Specialist level responsibilities include all of the above, plus: Leading training design, development, and implementation. Conducting needs analysis and developing training to address identified needs. Evaluating and implementing process improvements.

Qualifications:

At the Generation Specialist Level include: Associate degree in a business, technical or instructional discipline with two years of experience in Regulated Generation. In lieu of degree, must have the equivalent gained through previous work experience in Regulated Generation. Experience in Instructional Material design, development and delivery of classroom training is desired. Understanding of Regulated Generation operations and work processing practices. Excellent written and verbal communications skills along with strong leadership skills and good customer relations skills. Must be willing to work extra and/or irregular hours and to travel and support Eastlake Plant.
