SAIC Senior Process Engineer in CHANTILLY, Virginia

Description

SAIC is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to provide technical and management expertise to include historical perspectives, lessons learned, and well-informed advice and council to incorporate program office management support functions across portfolios. This position requires a daily presence with high-level customers and provides advice to program office leadership. To qualify for the role, you must have an active TS/SCI with Poly to start and be able to work full-time in Chantilly, VA.

Functions Include:

  • Facilitate, schedule and track decision making forums such as the Senior Management Group and Risk Management Board.

  • Prepare, distribute, and archive SMG and RMB agendas, presentations, and meeting minutes and maintain SMG and RMB databases and decisions and track action items.

  • Assist action officers in content development for and in preparation of briefings to the program office SMG.

  • Assist other teammates and Subject Matter Experts in development and tracking of risk mitigations and corrective action plans.

  • Implement the Risk/Opportunity cycle of monitoring, planning, identification, analysis, and handling to empower leadership to make decisions proactively vs reactively.

  • Proactively manage risks, issues, and opportunities while dramatically improving timelines and quality of internal and external products.

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph.

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering or a related field and fourteen (14) years or more experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience.

  • Prior experience in architecture studies and requirements development.

  • Detailed understanding of government satellite systems acquisitions and architectures.

  • Experience in NRO, IC, and DoD acquisition and program management processes.

  • Demonstrate a technical understanding of space systems, a working knowledge of government processes, a sound understanding of the NRO community.

  • Ability to travel domestically.

  • Program Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification desired.
