Job Description

Resource will be responsible for DME functions for the LIMS and Laboratory Computing Environment including implementing new functions as well as modernization and enhancements to the current environment.

Participate in the requirements analysis, design, configuration, management and implementation of LabWare. Work within the IT team to collaborate on enhancement initiatives within the system.

Create and support integrations to laboratory equipment and other Lab or non-Lab software platforms as required.

Review, troubleshoot, identify and resolve Global Laboratories software development bugs/errors using IT methodology standards in a consistent, accountable and repeatable manner in accordance with best practices established by the organization.

Create and maintain configuration and development documentation and technical specifications for external and internal customer interfaces.

Provide on-going support for the application. Identify common issues and put solutions in place to correct problems/resolve issues quickly.

Responsible for document management for Lab-wide quality management system documents in LabWare.

Responsible for document and training management for LIMS security documents in LabWare.

Work to configure LIS, LIMS, ELN and or CDS systems based on client requirements

Serve as a liaison to the business community and participate in user and task analysis to maintain the business community 's perspective.

Create and perform Unit Tests

Create status progress reports as needed

Participate in peer reviews of code for coding standards, best practices, functionality, error handling, etc.

Write basic SQL queries using relational database concepts and schema design principles

Integrate laboratory instruments with scientific software packages

Integrate scientific applications with other scientific or nonscientific applications

Collaborate with end users globally to understand requirements and attain approvals

Maintain alignment with other divisional LIMS teams on an existing system/architecture

Lead and oversee development of Standard Operating Procedures, User Guides, and other relevant documentation for the LIMS

Manage effective data exchange between LIMS and all lab instruments and other associated systems customizing code and parsing scripts code to accommodate data exchange

Collaborate with management and other IT staff on business requirements to ensure adequate infrastructure support to lab systems including all upgrades to hardware and software

Support laboratory operations to include, but not limited to, systems analysis, process & procedure creation, customized reports, modifications, barcode/printer management, and upkeep of systems administration tasks. Managing user requests, maintaining a validated state, processing access requests, and working with the business to troubleshoot issues

Skills and Requirements

Knowledge and experience with instrument integration into LabWar

Knowledge of secure configuration of Azure servers

Knowledge/experience of migrating LabWare systems into Azure

Knowledge of SQL & database script writing

Knowledge of HL7 & ASTM data standards

Knowledge of LIMS configuration/administration and SQL Scripting Language

Experience upgrading lab instrument controllers to higher OS environment

3-5 of experience working in regulated environments

3-5 of consulting experience with continuous increase in responsibility and technical competence

Experience with any of the following Clinical LIS systems, LabWare, LabVantage, VEEVA, SQL LIMS, SampleManager, StarLIMS, Dotmatics, BIOVIA, SmartLab, Waters, Nugenesis, Empower, Pipeline Pilot, Chromatography Data Systems (CDS), Electronic Lab Notebook, Laboratory Information Management System, QMS, ELN, LIMS LIMS 7 Certified is a plus null
