We are looking for an Experienced Weld Inspector QAR (Quality Assurance Rep) with Level II and/or CWI certifications to join our teams in Chandler, AZ for a long-term project!  Local area candidates are preferred as there is no relocation or per diem available for this role.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Perform Weld Inspection/testing of Semiconductor Processing Systems and Equipment supporting liquids, gases, chemicals and solvents in a Manufacturing environment.

  • Assist the Customer in identifying and solving quality problems and perform all necessary and assigned tasks.

  • Participate in Pre-Planning and Site-Specific Programs.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues and quality contamination discrepancies and have the ability to plan, schedule, execute and report data in a professional manner.

  • Once trained, have technical understanding of process gas systems and hazards associated with working around chemicals.

    Requirements:

  • Job duties are often performed in confined areas, sometimes in a cleanroom environment, in awkward positions and/or in high places requiring the use of ladders.

  • Perform Weld Inspection on structural pedestals for high tech equipment. Work is performed in high-pressure production cleanroom environment and is to be done so without confrontation.

  • Strong background in Structural Weld Inspection is required

  • Previous experience with Welding and Piping Quality/Inspection in Pharmaceutical or Semiconductor industries is a big plus but not required.  

  • Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and the ability to lift/carry objects up to 50 pounds is required.

  • Strict Cleanroom protocols, Safety protocols and PPE use are to be followed at all times when in cleanroom.

  • Occasional overtime and weekends will be required.

    Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or GED required. 

  • NDT/VT Level II or CWI certification required

  • Previous experience with Welding and Piping Quality/Inspection in Pharmaceutical or Semiconductor industries is a big plus but not required.  

  • Reliability is of high importance and attention to detail is expected.

  • A general aptitude in mechanical assembly and tools is required as well as an ability to learn to use appropriate tools and fixtures.
