Job Description:

Envista's Regional Accounting Group based in Prague is looking for an experienced General Ledger (GL) and Corporate Senior Accountant. The Senior Accountant will work in a team that is responsible for Corporate Accounting, US GAAP questions clarification and reporting of specific assigned operating companies and/or legal entities. Corporate accounting team is responsible also for regulatory financial reporting requirements, as well as compliance and implementation of internal control policies. The position is based in Prague and reports to Accounting Manager.

Job Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:

· Perform end-to-end activities in the Account-to-Report processes according corporate policies, US GAAP and local accounting standards including Month End Close preparation and reporting for assigned entities

· Ensure accurate and timely month-end reporting and ensure all corporate deadlines are met.

· Drive cooperation and communication with functional leaders

· Maintain the general accounting reporting and practices for the organization

· US GAAP accounting questions point of contact in cooperation with Central Finance Team in US

· Training and education of accounting teams in US GAAP related topics

· Compile and analyze financial information to prepare and/or review necessary journal entries for properly stated ledgers and financial statements in accordance with regulations (e.g. GAAP) and company policy

· May perform bookkeeping or account management duties. Includes accounts payable, cost accounting, cash management and Controllers responsible for only accounting

· Ensure performance of internal controls, including SOX compliance

· Ensure all internal policies and procedures are consistently followed

· Support audits (internal & external) including coordination of client deliverables.

Experience:

· 5 years experience, minimum 2 years in a multinational corporation or global accounting firm

· Strong interpersonal skills with a proven record of successful collaboration with team members and stakeholders.

Skills/Knowledge:

· ·Excellent technical financial skills. Ability to understand the balance sheet & income statement impacts of every transaction and to challenge or propose material accounting judgment entries, when relevant.

· Strong knowledge of finance and accounting principles and processes.

· Record to Report and Corporate Accounting knowledge and experience.

· SAP R3, Oracle, HFM knowledge is a plus

· US-GAAP and SOX experience

Other Competencies:

· Higher degree in business administration or equivalent finance specific degree, CPA/ACCA or equivalent

· Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Czech is required.

· Demonstrate sound work ethic, respect and cultural sensitivity and awareness.

· Effective time management, organizational and prioritization skills.

· Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
