Job Title: Contract Financial Analyst - Real Estate

• Must HAVE: Real Estate exp, multi-family, financial analysis, and understands financial modeling.

Location: Cedar Rapids

Duration: This project is a 9-12 month project. CONTRACT only.

The objective of this project is to support the teams' everyday operations while they work on implementing a new software.

Job Description:

Our company is looking for a self-sufficient and experienced Financial Analyst to join our team. In light of implementing a new asset management system and investor portal, we need a financial expert to help us analyze, reconcile, and upload financial data from approximately 380 properties into this new system.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct thorough financial analysis to determine the root cause of any issues.

2. Work collaboratively with multiple team members to understand the individual backgrounds of each partner.

3. Demonstrate initiative in working issues to closure and regularly update on the progress.

4. Document resolutions to evidence the method employed in resolving the issue.

5. Manage and analyze multiple data sets using intermediate Excel skills.

6. Analyze, understand, and reconcile the asset and liability accounts.

7. Adjust, compile, and prepare financial data from previous systems for integration into the new system for future reconciliation.

8. Navigate the financial statements, identify variances, and comprehend what adjustment files need to be assembled for the new system.

   Requirements

1. Proven experience in financial analysis and problem-solving, ideally in a Real Estate environment.

2. Solid understanding of accounts reconciliation, roll forwards, asset accounts, and liability accounts.

3. Proficiency in Excel and the ability to manage and manipulate multiple data sets.

4. Capable of adapting to new systems, specifically transitioning from MRI to RealPage.

5. Self-sufficient and able to interact professionally with vendors for file uploads.
