System One Senior Accounting Specialist in Catoosa, Oklahoma

Accounting Specialist:

Reporting to the Vice President of Finance and Accounting, the Accounting Specialist will be responsible for a variety of key financial and administrative duties, including data entry tasks related to payables, receivables, and payroll. This role will involve cross-training in multiple areas of accounting and providing support to various departments as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure accurate and timely entry of vendor invoices, matching them with purchase orders and receivers

  • Process accounts payable checks and respond to vendor inquiries about payment status

  • Generate invoices for shipments, apply cash receipts, and assist with collection efforts

  • Compile and maintain trial balances and aging reports for accounts

  • Assist in preparing data for audits and ensure compliance with regulations

  • Collaborate with Executive Management and Human Resources department on various projects

  • Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required

  • Minimum of three years' experience in general accounting functions ideally in a manufacturing environment

  • Strong accounts receivable skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAGE 100 or other accounting software, and Timeclock Plus

  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Previous experience with manual invoicing and heavy data entry

  • Ability to handle confidential information and manage multiple tasks efficiently
