Position: Full-stack Cloud Engineer

Location: Casablanca, Morocco (onsite)

The Java Platform Group is looking for an experienced, passionate, and highly motivated Full-stack cloud engineer. Our team is responsible for delivering the Java platform that is used by millions of developers. We are looking for an engineer with an interest and thorough working experience of both the Java Platform and the implementation of the cloud native services. We are hiring to further expand our cloud service to more Oracle commercial regions and we are continuously investing to grow the service's capabilities and footprint across the globe.

We are looking for a Full-stack cloud engineer with strong technical background, who are able to design, implement test and maintain our cloud native service to further improve the experience of both our enterprise customers and the smaller businesses.

Responsibilities

Work across the full stack, building highly scalable distribute, cloud native solution Develop new features for Java Management Services in line with the market demands and emerging business and project requirementsMaintain and continuously improve Java Management Services operations in line with the service's SLOsEnsure JMS performance, uptime and scale, maintaining high standards of code qualityWork with agile development methodology, adhering to best practices established by Oracle and project team and pursuing continued learning opportunities Able to work with JMS internal teams and the larger Oracle teamsSecondary on-call duties

Skills we require:

Some experience with designing, implementing, testing and operating cloud native in an Agile and DevOps setup. 2+ experience with creating rich UI with Javascript frameworks preferably using React.Competent in Java and a working understanding to one or more secondary programming language such as GO, Python, Kotlin, C/C++Experience in using a Java framework in development preferable using DropwizardExperience in using relational / non-relational database in developmentExperience with Jenkins CI/CD, GIT, maven/gradleExperience with cloud native technologies including container lifecycle and orchestration (E.g. Docker, Helm, K8S)Experience with one or more major cloud vendors (OCI, Azure, AWS, GCP)Working knowledge in microservices health monitoring using monitoring tools preferably GrafanaCapable of writing highly maintainable codes and using tools like SonarQube, Unit

Skills we love to have:

Possess cloud engineering certificationsExperience in cloud end-to-end distributed tracing(e.g. Jaeger)Experience in service test (e.g. Istio)Experience in performance, scalability and reliability testingExperience with Functions/ServerlessExperience with rule-engine

Responsibilities

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.

As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.
