Join our team at Sun RV Resorts and embark on an exciting new opportunity! We are looking for aFood Prep Assistantto prepare all food items at one of our RV resorts. In this role, you will also be responsible for cleaning, sanitizing and maintaining the kitchen and surrounding area.
JOB DUTIES
Perform shift opening and closing duties as assigned.
Ensure an adequate amount of food supplies are available for shift; restock products as needed throughout shift.
Prepare or direct the preparation of all necessary condiments; move food items from main cooler to the appropriate cooler location.
Prepare food ordered by guests using a variety of kitchen equipment (grills, ovens, fryers, meat slicers, food processors, etc.), including general preparation of salads, sandwiches, desserts, and other items as directed.
Portion and wrap food, or place directly on plates for service to guests, ensuring to meet proper presentation and quality standards.
Communicate with the kitchen and bistro team members to ensure quality and accuracy of orders.
Assist with dishwashing including running the dishwasher and/or sanitizer throughout shift.
Maintain kitchen and cooking areas and ensure kitchen equipment and food storage areas are clean, sanitary, and organized as required by the Health Department Rules and Regulations. Report any kitchen equipment or maintenance issues to manager.
Assist with various duties such as kitchen set-up and take-down, removing trash, and other miscellaneous cleaning duties.
Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED
Previous restaurant and/or food preparation experience,preferred
Must be able to pass the Safe Food Handler Certificate Program within 60 days from date of hire
Demonstrated knowledge of food preparation and presentation
Good customer service and communication skills
Professional appearance
Basic computer proficiency including the ability to use email and internet
