The Brightly Software EHS&S Manager is pivotal in steering the Business Unit's Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability initiatives. It involves a strategic partnership with the Senior Vice President, People and Organization to ensure EHS&S responsibilities are met, including compliance with legal standards, maintaining an effective Management System, and setting specific requirements. Additionally, the position supports the management in creating a safe, efficient, and resilient work environment, while also contributing to incident investigations. The role is also responsible for defining and executing the EHS&S strategy and targets in line with the broader corporate objectives, ensuring continuous improvement in all EHS&S matters within the Business Unit.

What we are looking for

Environment, Health, Safety and Sustainability (EHS&S):

  • Heads EHS&S organization assigned, leads all related management and staff.

  • Serves as the primary point of contact for all EHS&S-related issues.

  • Engages in active collaboration with local and global business units, functional teams, and service management, as well as the wider EHS&S community, to meet the policy goals set for the Business Unit.

  • Regularly reviews the EHS&S Management System for effectiveness and spearheads its ongoing enhancement, ensuring compliance with all relevant legal requirements.

  • Integration and consideration of EHS&S factors in risk management and assessment processes for projects, products, processes, and operations.

  • Executes structured audits, assessments, and inspection program.

  • Drives, supports, and implements global EHS&S programs and initiatives, monitoring their success and impact.

  • Manages the EHS& budget and personnel resources, participates in hiring for roles, and promotes ongoing education and practice sharing.

  • Analyzes stakeholder EHS&S requirements and ensures effective communication with all internal and external parties.

  • Ensures timely, complete, and accurate EHS&S related reporting according to internal and external requirements.

  • Ensures that emergency response plans and hazard prevention measures are established and participates in the Siemens BU Crisis Management Team.

Facility Oversight Management

  • Aligning facility management practices with business goals and adapting to changing needs.

  • Overseeing budgets, optimizing costs, and forecasting financial requirements.

  • Implementing effective budgeting and cost control to maintain operational efficiency.

  • Ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.

  • Leading, recruiting, and training the facilities management team to meet departmental objectives.

  • Conducting inspections and audits, managing repairs, renovations, and coordinating facility-related activities.

  • Handling facility-related emergencies promptly and effectively.

What you need

  • Typically, 10+ years of successful experience in a related field and successful demonstration of key responsibilities and knowledge.

  • At least 5 years of site related experience from relevant business. ·

  • At least 5 years of management experience (incl. leading teams, intercultural experience, project management experience).

  • Degree in technical education and/or EHS&S related/relevant fields (e. g. Safety Engineer) and/or recognized certificates (e. g. NEBOSH).

  • Evidenced training/expertise in the broader spectrum of EHS&S topics.

  • Expert level knowledge of ISO 14001 (Environmental management), ISO 50001 (Energy management), ISO 45001 (Occupational health and safety management), ISO 9001 (Quality management), management system and implementing/managing management system elements.

  • Proven experience in working with management systems.

The pay range for this position is $99,000 - $169,700. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
