We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Custodial & Security Team Lead within our Office Servicesteam to help support our business. This is an on-site position at our corporate office in Carthage, MO and reports directly to the Facilities Manager. The work schedule is Monday – Friday, 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
So, what will you be doing as a Custodial & Security Team Lead?
Conduct daily inspections of the building to assure custodial and security duties are being completed
Manage schedule of the custodial and security staff to ensure 24 hours and 7 days coverage
Supervise and direct custodial and security staff to accomplish the goals and mission for the corporate office
Train security staff on protocol security binder
Order custodial supplies and manage inventory
Train custodial staff on cleaning techniques and products
Track inventory usage and reconcile cost with Office Services Supervisor
Answering L&P corporate phone line and welcoming visitors
Occasional holiday and weekend coverage may be required
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
High School/GED or equivalent vocational training, plus 2-3 years’ experience in a custodial or security role
Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
Occasional holiday and weekend coverage may be required
Ability to manage and direct individual activities
Ability to move at a fast pace while being accurate
Great communication skills; including phone etiquette
Strong task management skills
Customer focused and service-oriented attitude
Ability to work independently, as well as with custodial/security staff and supporting facility staff
Working knowledge of various types of commercial cleaning machines and cleaning techniques
Proficiency in MS Office, specifically MS Excel and MS Word
