Electrical Engineer II

Design and install engineered electrical control systems for capital projects and other upgrades associated with plant operations. Provide technical assistance to Plant Technicians and Electricians in diagnosis of electrical malfunctions, determination of necessary repairs, and elimination of the cause of the malfunction. Design electrical controls, procure components, oversee electrical build, prepare installation documents, oversee installation and commission capital equipment. Conceptualize, research, design and implement electrical/electronic solutions to manufacturing problems as related to safety, quality, delivery, cost and inventory. Assist Maintenance as needed with diagnosis and repair of component malfunctions. Investigate and provide solutions to root causes of machine reliability issues. Create and standardize schematics, troubleshooting documentation, programs and electrical components. Provide backup support for SCADA engineer when necessary on projects such as electronic supervisor, integrated test, proof positive laser marking, etc.
Requires a Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field and 1 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field. Must have 1 years of experience in each of the following: working with power distribution, networks, PLC, HMI, and drive hardware and software; reading and creating schematic drawings using AutoCAD software; and, Project Management. Experience may be gained concurrently.
