RQ Construction, LLC Marketing/Proposal Assistant in Carlsbad, California

24-30 per hour $24-30ph DOE | 1620 Faraday Avenue, Carlsbad, CA 92008, USA | Hourly | Full Time

RQC, LLC, (a wholly-owned subsidiary of DPR Construction) is seeking a Marketing/Proposal Assistant eager to support our design/build team to contribute to truly integrated proposal and project delivery for the Department of Defense. Our pursuit process for our Department of Defense construction projects is challenging, interesting and diverse both technically and geographically.Our Pursuit/Marketing team works hard to win new work for us to execute all over the United States, as well as internationally in the Caribbean. This position interacts closely with our other internal Estimating and Architecture departments to provide project proposals, which area regularly rated by our client, the Department of Defense, as having the highest quality.The holistic experience at RQ is like no other. Our Marketing/Proposal Assistant will spend much of his/her time supporting our Proposal Coordinators with a variety of administrative efforts. We want to teach you our high quality proposal process, with an eye for future growth within the department. The work is fast-paced and detail-oriented with quick turnover time required on each and every proposal. Some work can be done remotely, but in-person office administrative work will be required in our Carlsbad location for such things as printing materials, stamping, etc. that come up during the proposal process.   • A high school degree or GED is the minimum formal education required for this position. A Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related field is preferred. A combination of equivalent work experience and training in the field is qualifying.

  • Previous work experience in the design/build construction industry preferred.

  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Internet, etc.) required.

  • Specific software literacy (Adobe Suite - InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) preferred but can be trained.
