Job Description: JRC is hiring a part-time Registered Nurse for its Adult Day Center location at 3300 Parkway St. NW in Canton, OH.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Assist Adult Day Center staff and Seniors in maintaining a quality Adult Day program. Assist participants in performing appropriate level activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct participant contact care. Assist participants with activities of daily living as needed and/or prescribed in the participant's Individual Care Plan.
- Prepare Individual Care Plans in conjunction with the Care Team with emphasis on activities that will assist participants in achieving their ICP goals.
- Review participant progress or impediments to progress in activities and goal achievement with the Team every 6 months. Revise ICP as needed to accomplish the participants' plan goals.
- Contact families, case managers or doctors as needed.
- Provide in-service training for staff and or participants once a month.
- Stay current in professional trainings required for the position.
- Maintain accurate participant documentation, i.e. Individual Care Plans, blood pressure readings, weights.
- Report to Adult Day Center Director any unusual incidents or changes with regard to participants.
- Cooperatively works with and interacts with co-workers and volunteers.
- Respect participant confidentiality.
- Treat all participants, staff, caseworkers, family members, building tenants and others with dignity and respect.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Registered Nurse
- Commitment to the mission of JRC
- Experience with people with disabilities and/or elderly people preferred
- Demonstrates a compassionate, caring nature
- Must be dependable
- Good communication skills
- Accurately record and maintain records and participant documentation
REPORTS TO:
- Adult Day Center Director
Details: Part time. First Shift. 8 hours/week. Monday through Friday. $15.00 to $20.00/hour (based on experience).
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. Valid Ohio Registered Nurse license. Must have at least 1 year of experience. Must be able to lift at least 20 lbs.
Driver's License Requirement(s): Must Have Valid Driver's License.
