Rowan University Temporary, Part-Time Security Officer, Department of Public Safety in Camden, New Jersey
Summary:
- Under direction of a supervisor in the Department of Public Safety, during an assigned tour of duty, provides assistance and protection to persons and property in and about university owned buildings, campus grounds, and parking areas; maintains orderly conditions throughout the campus, and takes the measures required to assure observance of university policies and state law; does related work as required.

This posting is being used to collect resumes to fill part-time, hourly vacancies at either the Glassboro or Camden campus.
Night, weekend, and holiday hours are required for this position.
Education Requirement:
- Graduation from high school or vocational school or possession of an approved high school equivalent certificate.
License Requirement:
- Appointees will be required to possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey.
This position is subject to the residency requirements of the NJ First Act (N.J.S.A. 52:14-7, P.L. 2011, Chapter 70). Any person hired to this position shall either have their principal residence in New Jersey or they have one year from the date of employment to establish, and then maintain, principal residence in the State of New Jersey.
