Following training, here's what your workday will include:Operating computer-controlled machines to perform one or more machine functionsMeasuring dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to customer standardsReviewing program specs or blueprints to determine and set machine operations and sequencing, finished work piece dimensions, or numerical controlMonitoring machine operation and control panel displays, and comparing readings to specsDocumenting actions by completing production logs, quality logs, inspection sheets and accurate time cardsControlling coolant systems by coordinating with supervisor or project leaderListening to machines during operation to detect unwanted sounds and reporting potential issues to supervisorStacking or unloading finished items or placing items on conveyor systems or in shipping areaCompleting preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, and performing simple troubleshootingSupporting 5S by cleaning machines, tooling, parts, and all associated work areasOther duties as assignedRequirementsEducation and Experience:High School Diploma or GEDQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
