Sanofi Vaccines is the Global Business Unit (GBU) of Sanofi responsible for vaccines and prophylactic agents for infectious diseases.

This position is responsible for leading a team of Global Medical professionals (primarily MDs and PhDs) dedicated to supporting a Sanofi RSV Franchise and playing a key leadership role in the clinical and commercial development of all products in the Franchise’s portfolio. This person will be expected to drive Medical activities for prelaunch, launch, and life cycle management (LCM) for the applicable products.

Main responsibilities:

  • Under the supervision of the Global Medical Franchise Head, RSV (GMFH), the Global Medical Brand Lead (GMBL) will be accountable for the development and implementation of global brand medical strategy and action plan for Beyfortus

  • Ensure the RSV team establishes, develops, and maintains contacts with international (global) external experts including, international & supranational vaccine recommending bodies (e.g., WHO, and key national and international immunization advisory groups)

  • Ensure that the RSV Franchise team provides expertise to prioritized countries in support of Country Medical Roadmaps for GBT markets, where appropriate, and provides support to non-GBT countries/customers who do not have sufficient local or regional resources & capabilities

  • In conjunction with the Franchise Medical Evidence Generation Head and/or Lead (FrMEG), provide oversight for global medical studies and evidence generation plans for the Franchise brands and products in accordance with ICH-GCP guidelines

  • Manage internal Global Medical Expert(s) (GMEs), FrMEG, and Global Scientific Advisers in the Franchise, as assigned. Demonstrate people and talent strategy leadership, including

  • Contribute to planning, resourcing, and budget decisions for the implementation of the Global Medical Roadmap for the assigned product portfolio.

About you

  • Medical degree or PhD preferred, with expertise in vaccinology

  • Global and peer recognition as an opinion leader in one’s area of expertise

  • Considerable experience in evidence generation including clinical development and/or real world evidence

  • Proficient in public speaking, with demonstrated facility in interacting with high-stakes external stakeholders (health authorities, scientific and medical societies)

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and lead through influence in a matrixed environment and across geographies and cultures

  • Previous experience in leading teams and budget management preferred
