About the role:

As a CBRE Electrician, you will inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment in assigned facilities. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems at client sites. This will involve driving from site to site.

What you'll do:

  • Perform preventive maintenance and corrective repair of building systems and equipment within a geographical area/route across multiple sites North & South of Boston, MA

  • Coordinate electrical and lighting systems' general operation, repair, and maintenance. Perform new installations of equipment.

  • Check, repair, and replace functional components of electrical and lighting systems. This includes valves, motors, controls, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, cores, and pipes.

  • Assure that equipment is being maintained and operating in a safe manner.

  • Review historical maintenance records to create proactive inspection, testing and IR testing, and preventive maintenance schedules.

  • Apply general knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish work you're doing and take on routine problems.

  • Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet goals.

What you’ll need

High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-6 years of job-related experience. Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred.

Electrician license required as decided by local electrical codes.

Valid Driver's license required.

Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

Understanding of existing procedures and standards to tackle slightly sophisticated problems.

Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

CBRE carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for the Electrician position is $42.00 per hour and the maximum salary for the Electrician position is $46.00 per hour. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
