WSP USA Proposal Coordinator in Calgary, Alberta

The Opportunity:

We are currently looking for a Proposal Coordinator to be part of our Resources West Proposal Team. This role involves leading select proposals for a diverse range of customers in the energy, resources, and industrial space. You will apply your skills as a proposal coordinator to ensure proposals are completed in a quality manner in the timelines provided. Attention to detail, time management, building and maintaining internal relationships, and providing guidance the technical and commercial support team are integral parts of this role.

What you can expect to do here:

  • Lead the development of high-quality proposals; producing compliant, competitive, persuasive, and compelling proposals through effective collaboration across all stakeholders

  • Facilitate the process through all gate reviews and final reviews.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating groups of content providers across multiple business lines and deal with changing priorities, driving content to completion

  • Facilitate a clear understanding of client requirements and strategic win themes

  • Communicate verbally and in writing with proposal participants to track tasks against the schedule; monitor progress of the proposal process, with timely follow-up, to ensure all proposal deadlines are being met

  • Ensure high-quality content and appearance of final proposal deliverables

  • Work closely with our SME's and Leadership to translate visions into compelling messages that convey WSP's strengths and differentiating approach

  • Lead proposal formatting, writing, editing, and proof-reading

  • Develop a strong internal network, and contribute to the identification of the best resources for the project team

  • Understand and adhere to WSP's Values, Codes of Conduct, and Policies

  • Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll bring to WSP:

  • Post-secondary degree in related field required

  • Have 3 to 5 years of relevant experience leading proposal development. Preference given to experience in the oil and gas sector, with an understanding of EP and EPCM norms and development.

  • Must possess a team player attitude and be able to work in a project team environment.

  • Be fluent in the English language with excellent verbal and written communication skills. A high level of proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint is vital. Knowledge of SharePoint and MS Teams is an asset.

  • Ability to work and complete tasks independently and take responsibility. Work with minimal direction.

  • A self-starter with demonstrated abilities to prioritize, meet tight deadlines, expedite the work of others, and work with a diverse team.
