*SUMMARY:  *The purpose of this position is to perform daily activities in such a manner to support safety, operations, sanitation, quality and food safety efforts. This position will sustain the Mission and Motto and Food Safety and Quality Statement of the Mennel Milling Company.    * *

*PRIMARY WORK SHIFT: *Works shift as assigned and overtime as required.

Employee will be assigned to a 12-hour rotating shift which includes weekends and potential holiday work. 

*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *

• Follow all food and personal safety rules and regulations in respect to GMP's, OSHA, HACCP, the Global Food Safety Initiative, the US FDA Food Safety Modernization Act as stated in the FS&Q Statement, and sanitation guidelines as set forth by the company as listed in Corporate Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) and attend all required training sessions. Maintain the department/facility in an everyday audit ready condition.
• Daily analytical (chemical and physical) testing of ingredients, packaging, and finished product using R&D approved testing specifications.    In addition, Organoleptic testing is required for all products.
• Approval of product against specifications. 
• Operate, clean, maintain and troubleshoot (using intermediate knowledge) all laboratory equipment.
• Data entry of testing results.
• Manage risk decisions on back shifts, involving others as required.
• Maintain Standard reference material program and analytical SPC control charting programs.
• Troubleshoot out of specification product, complaint samples and document product hold by communicating issue to the QRO Lead. Work with team to make sound food safety & food quality decisions.
• Perform defined foreign material process checks.   Including but not limited to sifter tailings, sifter screen integrity verification, sifter, strainer and magnet checks.
• Empty trash, bakery feed totes and tailings containers.
• Perform cleaning duties, including but not limited to wash pipes, roof leak sanitizing, bin bottom and bin top cleaning, drain cleaning, and any additional cleaning activities identified by Sanitation Engineer or Shift Supervisor. 
• Responsible for spill containment, dishwasher room duties and replenish cleanout carts.
• Responsible for maintaining Martel plant-wide sanitation standards including preventative maintenance sanitation activities, FSRA sanitation corrective action items, and enforcement of an effective master sanitation program.
• Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has no supervisory duties.

• A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required. 
• Basic data entry and computer skills such as Microsoft Excel and Word.     

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, sho
