JOB SUMMARY : We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-orientedMaster Schedulerto join our dynamic operations team. TheMaster Schedulerwill partner closely with production, supply chain, project management, and engineering teams to plan, organize, and optimize production schedules. The Master Scheduler should work with all impacted department heads to attain schedule commitment and buy in based on the department's capabilities from the entire Request for Quote through product shipment cycle. This individual then provides status and relative insight along with performance measurements for each department in the Order to Ship pipeline on a weekly basis. This position is a knowledge and communication vehicle to status leadership. Engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, accounting, and project management should resource plan their detailed schedules weekly and measure them respectively.

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and manage the Demand Plan based on business process and product knowledge, and with respect to the business goals.

  • Create and maintain detailed production schedules to ensure the timely and efficient completion of manufacturing processes.

  • Maintains master distribution schedule for the assigned facility; revises as needed and alerts appropriate staff of schedule changes or delays.

  • Work closely with production, supply chain, engineering, recruiting, and accounting teams to align schedules, labor requirements, and resources.

  • Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Provide consistent and accurate reports on production status, material availability, and labor hours.

  • Ensure that the right materials and labor are available at the right time to meet production targets. Partner with supply chain and recruiting teams to adjust plans based on material or workforce availability.

  • Serve as the central point of contact for all scheduling-related communication. Keep all stakeholders informed of production progress, delays, or issues that may impact timelines.

  • Assist in monitoring and tracking performance metrics, including time per unit, production throughput, and efficiency. Use this data to help improve overall scheduling and production processes.

  • Work with engineering and production teams to identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance productivity and reduce inefficiencies in production scheduling. 

    REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.

  • 5+ years of experience in a scheduling or planning role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

    SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Exceptional knowledge of scheduling techniques, demand forecasting, and production planning processes within a manufacturing or production environment.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

  • Proficient in using scheduling and planning software or tools (e.g., ERP systems).

  • Strong understanding of production processes, supply chain management, and materials planning.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with various departments and stakeholders.

  • Experience with data analysis and performance tracking to ensure continuous process improvement.

  • Ability to manage labor and headcount planning in coordination with the recruitment team.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • APICS CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) or similar certification is a plus.
