Customer Presales & Retention, Microsoft Advertising Services, Partner Enablement, Store Sales & Support (CAPS) is a support business unit with a portfolio of different proactive and reactive support and service teams. Our services support a breadth of scenarios that include helping customers buy online at the Microsoft Store, helping Small and Medium Business (SMB) customers advertise to millions of consumers on Bing, helping support partners grow their businesses, and helping acquire and retain SMB customers.

As one of the largest service and support networks in the industry, Microsoft Customer Service and Support (CSS) helps nearly 1 billion customers around the world each year. The organization is responsible for partnering with and providing Microsoft product groups with customer feedback and ensuring customers are receiving world-class support in over 35 languages. There are Technical Presales and Deployment Services offerings as part of Microsoft Artificial Intelligence Cloud Partner Program (MAICPP) that enable Partners to build building new skills, supporting partners to accelerate their sales cycle and by helping partners to design, develop and deploy customer solutions with Microsoft Cloud Solutions. Partner Technical Consultants are delivering MAICPP Partner Technical Services on regular basis. Partner Technical Consultants (PTCs) offer a strong technical solution knowledge to enable Microsoft Partners building new skills, in supporting them to accelerate their sales cycle and by helping them to design, develop and deploy customer solutions based on Microsoft Cloud Platform.

• The Partner Technical Consultant role is primarily technical with a strong Cloud Solution based focus.

• Technical solution skills combined with an understanding of Microsoft methodologies and a good Partner Ecosystem understanding will establish a trusted relationship and provide a unique value to Microsoft Partners.

• Consultative Mindset approach – PTCs requires the soft and communication skills to quickly understand and verify the Partner request, discuss technical information and solutions, as well as to identify all required information of the Partner.

We are looking for a consultant with expertise in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP). The role requires strong ERP technical expertise and consulting skills, representing the “Business Applications” Solution Area and Workloads like Dynamics 365 Finance, Dynamics 365 Supply Chain, Dynamics 365 Commerce, Dynamics 365 Project Operations to represent the Technical Presales and Deployment Services business needs and to develop our technical capabilities across related workloads and technologies. Through delivery of effective guidance, PTCs share best practices empowering Microsoft Partners to continually deliver high-quality engagements with customers.

This role is flexible in that you can work up to 100% from home.

Responsibilities

Provides Partners with Guidance and acts as Trusted Advisor

• Helps Partners during the presales to deployment lifecycle on a range of technical topics. Guides Partners’ thinking through active listening, questioning, and reflecting. Provides vital insight and seamless service to help define needs and then provide advice within area of expertise.

• Consults Partners through courses of action by helping to find appropriate solutions to enable new customer sales or optimization of existing customer deployments

• Builds lasting relationships through effective technical engagement in Consulting Services, enhancing Partner Experience and helping build Partner competency and capacity.

• Cultivates Trusted Advisor Relationship to accelerate Partner adoption and productive use/development of Microsoft solutions.

Delivers 1:1 Technical Consultations to aid with Technical Presales and Advisory Services

• Performs scoping activities, reacts confidently on Partner request and set up proper expectations.

• Takes on requests with medium to high level of complexity and resolves them in a timely manner.

• Delivers 1:1 remote consultation service with good efficiency regarding preparation, delivery and admin time.

• Contributes to technical triage and technical reviews in the area of expertise.

Maintains Solution Area Readiness and Technical Expertise

• Maintains up-to-date technical/industry knowledge and demonstrate “Experienced” or “Expert” technical expertise in the ERP area and the underlying technologies.

• Shares knowledge and resources globally.

• Develops best practices for Solution Area and develop/ deliver internal tech-talks/ brown-bags at level to improve team readiness.

Qualifications

• Looking for solid experience in ERP

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Languages: native/fluent English are mandatory; multi-language is a plus.

• Exceptional oral, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills in English, multi-language is a plus.

• Proven years of experience in supporting / consulting customers, partners or technical services related roles.

• Good product knowledge on Dynamics 365 Finance, Dynamics 365 Commerce and Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management.

• Good understanding on the design and architecture of Dynamics 365 Project Operations. Good understanding of Microsoft Dynamics Lifecycle Services (LCS).

• Power Platform know-how is an advantage

• Exposure to LOB integration scenarios with SAP, Oracle, Salesforce would be a plus.

• Current Microsoft certification(s) in the technologies supported

• Demonstrate critical thinking and ability to develop strategic ongoing customer and partners relationships.

• Enjoy teamwork, and actively contribute to their peer group as well as our partner account teams.

• Cloud adoption competency: Possess the knowledge and personal conviction to articulate value proposition of cloud technologies.

• Customer and Partner Focus: Demonstrated skills and abilities to consistently create an amazingly positive experience for Partners.
