Our manufacturing site in Burley, ID is looking for a Manufacturing Operations Leader. This position is a part of DuPont's Field Engineering Development Program. This is a leadership role focused on building fully engaged and competent teams that deliver results in line with the shift performance goals in a safe and efficient way. This position will lead a team of 12 direct reports.
Responsibilities Include:
Leads Maintenance, Supply Chain and Enviromental Health & Safety (EHS) teams
Production Support Engineer
Site Capital Project Coordinator
Leads or participates in EHS & Quality investigations and determines appropriate corrective action

Coaches, develops and provides performance feedback to team members to build capabilities, align on expectations and improve team effectiveness

Partners with leaders to stay informed of the business strategy and needs
Effectively communicate and implement site directions and messages to team ensuring the work alignment is clear
Documents and completes administrative requirements timely and efficiently
Ensures work is completed per published schedule
Facilitates team processes, including problem solving and issue resolution
Ensures employees comply with established Standard Operating Procedures
Monitors and makes adjustments to controllable costs for team (i.e. overtime, parts, supplies, etc.)
Completes Leader Standard Work practices, including frequent line walks
Initiates awards and recognition for individuals and/or teams, and celebrates area’s accomplishments
Organizes and manages staffing levels to ensure adequate support for production needs
Addresses personnel issues on effectively
Able to provide coverage on weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays as scheduled, on a regular basis
Able to work overtime as needed
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in an industrial, manufacturing, military, or similar setting
Bachelors degree in Engineering. Mechanical Engineering preferred.

DuPont's Field Engineering Development Program is looking for top talent that can catalyze positive changes and advancements in various industries and everyday life. As a participant in the DuPont Field Engineering & Supply Chain Development Program, you will undergo a series of immersive 2-to-3-year assignments in Operations & Engineering and Science & Innovation, which will take place across different locations and functions within the company's various businesses. These assignments will be combined with formal education, as well as opportunities for networking, mentoring, and exposure to leadership roles. In this program, you will be responsible for implementing engineering best practices, analyzing and improving processes, and contributing to projects aimed at enhancing safety, product quality, and equipment or infrastructure. You will have the opportunity to take on varied roles such as Manufacturing Technical / Process Engineering, Capital Projects, Automation & Process Control, Leveraged Engineering, Equipment Reliability & Maintenance, Continuous Improvement, Product Quality, Technical Service, and Operations Management.
Requirements:
Pursuing or hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Materials Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
Minimum of 6 months of paid co-op or internship equivalent experience in your engineering discipline/major.
100% geographic flexibility to allow for the best career development fit.
Willingness to relocate to a new location every 2 to 3 years.
Five-year commitment to complete a minimum of two assignments (usually 24-36 months per assignment).
Willingness to be on-call for plant area support when required.
Legal right to work in the United States without any employment restrictions.
Preferred Skills:
Demonstrated leadership capabilities (taking initiative, agility, adaptability, influence management)
Six sigma green belt certification (or willingness to become certified in the first 24 months).
Training and experience with root cause failure analysis, process hazards analysis, and high hazard process safety.
